Nick Gant is a Designer, Researcher and Author he jointly runs the Inheritable Futures Laboratory sustainable design research group based in the University of Brighton. His specialist areas include community sustainability using social networking and his platform design Community21 has recently been presented to government ministers and at national and international conferences. He is also a materials expert and has worked with individuals and organisations as diverse as Vivienne Westwood and PUMA, ICI and The Beatles using his materials expertise. Described by Design Week as 'a master of material manipulation' he co-created on the 'On Our Doorsteps' exhibition which features the work of his students in the lifestyle zone of the Eco Technology Show.

Mischa Hewitt is a sustainability consultant at Low Carbon Trust, where he project managed the award winning Earthship Brighton project and is a member of the Green Building Partnership. Mischa also runs
the sustainable building company Earthwise Construction based in Sussex, which recently retrofitted a Victorian House to reduce its carbon emissions by 80%. He also organises many environmental events,
including the award winning "Eco Open Houses" weekends in Brighton and the annual "Green Architecture Day". He is the co-author of "Earthships: Building a zero carbon future" and "Earthships: in
Europe", both published by IHS Press and has written numerous articles on sustainable construction.

Kiran Periera from Waterwise will present a 15 minute talk aimed at raising awareness on why water efficiency matters even in homes. She will offer simple water saving tips for how to reduce water usage in the home or outside homes. Kiran describes herself as a water warrior of sorts. She has recently completed a Masters in Environment and Development from King's College, London. She has international work experience of 10 years where she specialised in corporate social responsibility training and building employee engagement around the organization's sustainability goals.
